After four years of intensive contact, the organization of the International U11 tournament of Quick’20 in Oldenzaal succeeded in bringing two of the world’s leading teams: FC Barcelona Escola* and Paris Saint Germain! Both teams will compete on Saterday and Sunday, the 1st and 2nd of June 2019, at sports facility Vondersweijde in the 8th edition of the international tournament.
*Barcelona Escola is the football school of Barcelona for boys and girls in the age of 6 to 12 years. The school teaches the basic concepts of football to prepare children for the real thing, while streamlining it’s educational programmes on the following values: tolerance, respect, solidarity, friendship, fair play, integration and fun.
Apart from Barcelona and PSG, who have been brought to Oldenzaal in close cooperation with Joer International and Ingrid de Croon, the top teams from previous editions are also present: Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord. Next to the Belgian top with RSC Anderlecht and Club Brugge, and also the German top teams Bayer Leverkussen and FC Köln. From England Everton will be coming and of course the usual strong Scandinavian teams Copenhagen, Helsinki, Nordsjaelland and Hammerby. With the addition of Barcelona and PSC, Quick’20 has truly become on of the strongest tournaments in the Netherlands.
Quick ’20 has been organizing this annual international youth tournament for players under the age of 11 since 2012. On the fields of sports facility Vondersweijde 28 teams compete from all over Europe and beyond. Besides the sporting objectives of the teams, the organization strives to play a connecting role between the leaders of the teams, between the players of teams, many Quick’20 followers and the city of Oldenzaal. For example, more than 120 host families offer the approximately 340 players an overnight stay. Moreover, every year all local hotels and hospitality locations are fully booked for the weekend to accommodate over 70 coaches. In addition to the organizing committee, a team of many volunteers, including 25 hostesses, are ready to receive the teams and provide 800 packed lunches per day and 400 hot meals (150 kilos of pasta). In the evenings, knowledge is shared in a relaxing environment in the city center of Oldenzaal where trainers, leaders and parents of different teams get to know each other.

Since 2012, Quick '20 football club has annually organizes an international youth tournament for players under the age of 11.
At the Vondersweijde sports park in Oldenzaal, on 1 and 2 of june 2024, 28 teams from 10 different countries will battle it out for the title.
In addition to the sporting goals, the tournament organization is committed to playing a connecting role between the teams, the leaders of the different teams, themselves, Quick '20 and the people of Oldenzaal. So catch more than 120 players’ families on the evening of the 20st of May in down town Oldenzaal. That weekends all the hotels and restaurants will packed and people will really see The Smile of Twente.
That evening there will also be an opportunity to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the city center. New acquaintances will be made and knowledge will be passed on between the trainers and team leaders of the different teams.
Besides bringing in top teams from all over Europe, it is important to involve regional amateur teams in the international tournament. It goes without saying that sportsmanship and respect are of paramount importance, as these principles are reflected in what Quick '20 stands for, namely "Training and development, standing central in the community '
