A successful tournament needs perfect organization and coordination. Here are some facts and figures to show you the enormous amount of work, coordination and activities that take place before and during the tournament, to make it a perfect event.28 teams will participate in this tournament. This means there will be 340 football players and about 70 coaches and trainers. They obviously need proper accommodation. For example the players of TPS Turku will stay in Oldenzaal for three days. Therefore we have arranged 80 families for the players to stay. The coaches and trainers wil stay in hotel Ter Stege, hotel De Kroon, and Frans op den Bult.
During the weekend there will be eight volunteers who will take care of scheduling the matches and register the results.28 women will take care of the food and beveragess. They will make and serve 800 lunches and 400 meals (150 kilo pasta) per day during this tournament. Of course our clubhouse will be open for our guests and supporters during this weekend. 12 referees will be there to control the matches and 2 people will be stand-by to give first aid if necessary. Buses will drive the players from their accommodation to Quick’20.
The players’ outfits will be washed by people from Quick. Needless to say that all this can only be realized with the help of volunteers and about 50 sponsors. In total there are about 100 volunteers and companies involved in the organization of this fourth international tournament for players under 11.
Since 2012, Quick '20 football club has annually organizes an international youth tournament for players under the age of 11.
At the Vondersweijde sports park in Oldenzaal, on 1 and 2 of june 2024, 28 teams from 10 different countries will battle it out for the title.
In addition to the sporting goals, the tournament organization is committed to playing a connecting role between the teams, the leaders of the different teams, themselves, Quick '20 and the people of Oldenzaal. So catch more than 120 players’ families on the evening of the 20st of May in down town Oldenzaal. That weekends all the hotels and restaurants will packed and people will really see The Smile of Twente.
That evening there will also be an opportunity to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the city center. New acquaintances will be made and knowledge will be passed on between the trainers and team leaders of the different teams.
Besides bringing in top teams from all over Europe, it is important to involve regional amateur teams in the international tournament. It goes without saying that sportsmanship and respect are of paramount importance, as these principles are reflected in what Quick '20 stands for, namely "Training and development, standing central in the community '
